We are happy to welcome John Izzo as a college planner in Pittsburgh, PA. John Izzo has spent his career in education and now brings that expertise to his role as a Certified College Planner. John earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Westminster College and his Master’s degree in School Counseling from Youngstown State University. John has worked as a School Guidance Counselor and has served as Director of Instruction and Advisement for EdisonLearning, Inc. He know first hand what is involved in the college planning process.
“As a school counselor, I realized there was little time spent on preparing high school students for college and career planning. Choosing colleges should be an exciting time but families oftentimes find it intimidating and stressful” says John.
“Class 101 helps students and parents take the steps to make this process exciting again. By helping students with career planning, college list creation, test prep, campus visits, scholarships, financial planning and walking them through the application process, students will have all the tools to reach their fullest potential.”
John is excited to be a part of each student’s journey and is pleased to be bringing the proven system of Class 101 to the Pittsburgh community.
