Class 101, the country’s premier college planning company, has opened its 43rd franchise location in Round Rock, TX. This is the fifth Class 101 in Texas, joining locations in Cypress, Grand Prairie, Katy, and Sugar Land. This location is being opened by longtime educator and school administrator, Nicoya Rogers.
Nicoya has been a strong presence in the educational field for the past 16 years. She has served as a teacher, specialist, interventionist, and assistant principal. Additionally, she served as an adjunct professor at Lone Star State College.
As assistant principal, part of her responsibilities included helping her students navigate the college planning process. She often found herself frustrated with the fact that students had not started early enough, and she didn’t have the time she would have liked to personalize their college planning journey. A move by her family from Houston to Austin allowed Nicoya an opportunity to reassess the way in which she served the students in her community.
When Nicoya saw Class 101 advertised in her former community of Cypress, she investigated further and realized that she had found the perfect business model to allow her to serve students in the way that she knew was best for them and their families. “I called Class 101 and told them that I was meant to run a Class 101 location. I spoke to CEO Tom Pabin, and through the phone call alone I was able to feel the passion he had for this business. I was exhilarated about what the future held for me.”
Nicoya and her husband, John, arranged to attend a Class 101 Discovery Day in October, where they were able to spend time with the Class 101 corporate team and see how a local location operates. After that day, she was sure that she wanted to move forward with the purchase of her franchise and become a Class 101 college advisor.
Class 101 is the ideal business model for individuals who want to empower students, serve families, and inspire greatness in the next generation of young people. The company’s proven methods and individual delivery of services have been guiding students for 22 years, and, as a company and team, they are excited about their growth nationwide. At regular individual meetings, students receive assistance with every aspect of the college planning process, including creating the optimal college list, building a strong resume, exploring majors, and improving test prep scores. No area of college planning is overlooked when working with a Class 101 college advisor.
“The power of Class 101 is that there is a need for college planning services everywhere,” says CEO and Founder, Tom Pabin. “No matter where we open a location, there are students who are overwhelmed by the college planning process and are looking for a trusted mentor to help them discover what is possible for them. Whether they are looking at top tier colleges, or a local in-state college, we help them navigate the process and help to make it more affordable for families.”
