Our Class 101 seniors know the secret to staying on top of college planning, and now their hard work is paying off! Seventeen of our students have qualified as semifinalists for the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Providing over $40 million in scholarships each year, National Merit awards range from one-time $2,500 scholarships to corporate- or college-sponsored scholarships at full-tuition. With hard work and some Class 101 test-prep, our students qualified as semifinalists by scoring in the top 1% of over one million students who took the PSAT in 2019!
The National Merit Scholarship can make a huge difference in a student’s after-graduation plan. Not only can it help students afford higher education, but this prestigious recognition helps them stand out during the college admissions process.
To advance as finalists, they will compete against 16,000 other high schoolers for over $30 million dollars in scholarships. After an extensive application process, about 15,000 students will be chosen as finalists to receive these awards.
We are so proud of our seniors who qualified as semifinalists and wish them luck as they advance to the next steps of the scholarship program!
