Each year, Class 101 recognizes top franchisees in several areas of excellence with awards at the national convention.
The most prestigious award, Franchise of the Year, was presented to Kim and Randy Stegemoller of Central Indiana. This powerhouse husband-and-wife team was recognized out of 44 locations for being the top franchise in the nation. This was not their first, not second, but their sixth year in a row receiving this distinguished award!
“Kim and Randy have an incredible passion for college planning—for their customers, their business, and the class 101 brand,” said Tom Pabin, CEO of Class 101. “They deliver the highest quality of service, nurture a strong team, and set a standard of excellence for our business.”
“The Stegemollers treat their customers like family and mentor our entire franchise community,” said Betsy Filchak, Director of Operations. “Their service leadership and personal touch is what makes them so special—they make a difference in the lives of others.”
One of Kim and Randy’s senior students, Audrey, just made the decision last month to attend the University of Mississippi in the fall of 2021. Audrey’s dad, Teno, said “Kim is a major part of her success. She helped Audrey be organized, focused and confident throughout the process. We started this journey with IU as the goal, but she is very excited to attend Ole Miss. It appears to be a great fit for her!”
Chafin Payne, a now 22-year old grad student, was a senior in high school when she started working with Kim and Randy. “Because of Class 101, I was able to graduate from undergrad completely debt-free,” she said. Chafin, a first-generation college student, grew up with a single mom and started planning for college late in the game.
“Kim and Randy first helped me improve my ACT score and then helped me apply to the COX Scholarship at IU. They even helped me prepare for the interview. I received the scholarship and got a full academic ride to IU. It changed my life. I owe a huge part of my success to Kim and Randy—and my mom!”
The Stegemollers opened their doors nine years ago and will celebrate their 32nd wedding anniversary in July this year. Together, they make a perfect team in life and business. With a family-oriented approach to business, the proof is in the pudding. Their 2020 grads had a 99% acceptance rate earning over $28M in scholarships.
Kim shared, “Waking up every day with the knowledge that we’re helping members in our community live out their dreams is incredibly rewarding.”
Randy added, “We have an amazing team of college advisors that love working with the outstanding youth in our community. It’s our life’s work to help students and their families reach their future goals.”
The Stegemollers have created a model for success that inspires Class 101 franchisees across the country. If you have a passion for helping students and want to join the Class 101 family, then becoming a Class 101 franchisee might be a great opportunity for you.
