Class 101, the nation’s premier college planning franchise, has opened its 47th franchise in Central Wisconsin. College advisor and franchise owner, Pam Knezic, is opening this location after a successful career in marketing and finance.
Pamela helped her oldest son navigate the college planning process, and, through this experience, she realized the complexity of college planning. Additionally, she learned that there were many aspects of the process that had changed since she herself had attended college. With three more children that would also need help with the search and application process, she began to investigate other options available for families. She knew that her family was not the only one that needed a service such as this. She found many test prep companies, but what she had in mind was something more comprehensive. It was then that she learned about Class 101.
Class 101’s proven methods and delivery of services have been guiding students for 22 years, and, as a company, they are excited about their presence nationwide. At regular individual meetings, students receive assistance with every aspect of the college planning process, including creating the optimal college list, building a strong resume, exploring majors, and improving test prep scores. No area of college planning is overlooked when working with a Class 101 college advisor.
Pamela visited the Class 101 Corporate Headquarters in Lexington, KY where she spent the day with the corporate team. She also had an opportunity to visit and observe at their local college planning franchise there in Lexington. She was impressed with the operations and continued to explore the possibility of becoming a Class 101 franchise owner.
Like so many, her timeline was modified due to COVID, but it did not derail her plan. Her husband, Tim, had the opportunity to participate in one of Class 101’s virtual Discovery Days, and they made the decision to bring Class 101 to the Central Wisconsin area. Their training was also conducted virtually in June.
Previously, Pam has worked as a buyer and marketing manager for Whirlpool as well as a Financial Representative for Thrivent Financial. As a Financial Representative, she witnessed the importance of planning for the high cost of college.
Pamela has served for many years in youth ministry, so she understands the key role that mentors can play. As a Class 101 college advisor, Pamela has the opportunity to continue that mentoring role. She understands the feeling of being overwhelmed by the college planning process. “Whether a student plans on attending college close to home or far away, all students in my community would benefit from receiving individualized college planning. I am honored to bring Class 101’s proven methods to the Central Wisconsin community.”
