This October has brought a lot of excitement to Class 101 as we welcomed Tim Brown, Laura Weitenhagen, and Chris Gallagher to our college planning team! We know that as we continue to grow across the country, we also continue to help service more students and families with the college planning process. Each of our new franchise owners recognizes Class 101’s proven methods and their capacity to help the families in their communities. They can’t wait to get started with some new students!
Tim Brown joins the team as the owner of Class 101 Tupelo, MS after two successful careers as a financial planner and as a family counselor. Both careers have provided Tim with the skills needed to help students find schools that they like and help make the cost more affordable for families. Tim earned a B.A. in Music and Voice from The University of Mississippi and holds an M.A. in Christian Education as well as an M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Laura Weitenhagen is the owner of Class 101 Castle Pines, CO. She has always found herself in positions and careers where she has brought the highest level of caring to her clients and customers and she understands the importance of providing an environment of trust and quality through her services. Laura earned her degree in History from Santa Rosa Junior College. She has served as a patient navigator at Stanford Health Care and through her work at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She also volunteers her time as a Girl Scout leader. Laura is excited to bring Class 101’s proven methods to the Douglas County community.
Chris Gallagher has helped increased our presence on the West Coast with the opening of his Class 101 location in Encinitas, California. After a career in academia, he is excited to be moving into the area of college planning. Chris earned a B.A. in Communication and Journalism from San Diego State University, a graduate certificate in paralegal studies from the University of San Diego, and an M.A. in Education from Alliant International University. Additionally, he has published a textbook on English writing structure. Chris has been a professor at multiple universities in the San Diego area, including the University of San Diego California. Therefore, he has personally experienced the preparedness of incoming university students, and he recognizes the academic and personal expectations of these students.
Tim, Laura, and Chris all understand the power of Class 101’s proven methods in college planning. They are excited to bring Class 101’s 20-year legacy and proven methods to their communities to help students and families navigate the college planning process. Welcome to the Class 101 team!
